Understanding Power Springs
At each of these diameters length is available from 100mm to 100m with a length tolerance of -/+ 1% or 5mm. PowerSprings can be specified in a similar way to a steel extension spring. A typical specification chart is shown in the table.

What Are Power Springs?
Power springs, sometimes referred to as clock springs or spiral springs, are coiled springs that store energy when wound. These springs are commonly used in various mechanical devices, ensuring they return to their original shape when released. The unique design allows for significant energy storage in a compact space, making them essential in applications like automobiles, appliances, and industrial machinery.
Applications of Power Springs
Power springs find use in a diverse range of applications. For example, they play a crucial role in the functioning of timers and clocks, providing the necessary force to keep mechanisms running. Additionally, because of their ability to maintain tension, these springs are vital in toys, equipment, and aerospace technology, improving overall functionality. Their versatility makes them a preferred choice in many industries.
Benefits of Using Power Springs
Using power springs offers several advantages. They are exceptionally durable, which means they can withstand repeated use without significant wear. Moreover, because they store energy efficiently, they provide consistent performance across various applications. Power springs are also customizable, allowing engineers to design them according to specific requirements. Therefore, they are ideal for projects that require reliable and efficient energy storage solutions.
